Fit N Well offers one-on-one counselling for young people aged 14 to 25, using a world-first approach that incorporates exercise as a therapeutic tool in a gym setting.
This unique method is designed to help clients work through personal and mental health challenges that may be holding them back, especially for those who may not connect with traditional talk therapies.

Fit N Well group sessions follow the same Exercise-Based Therapy principles as one-on-one sessions but are tailored for groups over a 4 to 8-week period.
Each session is designed around a specific mental health or wellbeing theme, with exercises that support that focus.
These sessions can be customized for schools, community groups, or organizations, with all equipment and planning handled by Fit N Well to meet the unique needs of the group

Exercise Based Therapy is focused on working with people who may have struggled in the past to access traditional talk based therapies.
The Workers at Fit N Well are highly trained and skilled professionals. Our workers all hold a mental health degree which is accreted by a governing body (this could be a counsellor, Social Worker or Psychologist) and have a fitness accreditation. We also have extensive experience and passion for working with people in the mental health area and also a deep understanding and lived experience of the role exercise can have on mental health.

At FitNWell we work with private and NDIS self and plan manage clients. We attempt to work with anyone who would like to access our service and I always insuring that else that we are affordable and supportive to any person they may need support with their mental health.
A big focus of the practitioners at FitNWell is to educate people around how to work out safely and navigate their way within the gym environment. A lot of time is put into teaching participants about how to work out and how to design their own workout using different equipment and variations of different exercises. A big focus for the service is to ensure every person leaves the service knowing how to work out well and safely. A very proud start that we hold is that over 75% of clients to attend FitNWell start attending a gym and working out in their own time. A big focus for us is on lifelong education and insuring healthy lifestyles are not only taught within sessions at FitNWell but beyond clients time within the service.
