At Fit N Well, our commitment extends beyond the gym walls. We are dedicated to creating a positive impact in our community by fostering mental well-being through various initiatives.
Our vision is to support and engage with local organizations, schools, and sports clubs to build a more resilient and supportive environment.
From community projects to outreach programs, we aim to make a difference by integrating our therapeutic approach into everyday life and addressing broader mental health challenges.
Vision and Goals Beyond the Gym
We’re excited to share that on the 28th of June, the new communication board at Wilfred Taylor Reserve Playground will officially open. This marks the completion of an 18 month project driven by our commitment to inclusive play and community connection.
When Nat Cook’s office announced funding for an inclusive playground, we put our hand up to help. Fit N Well led the design and installation of a communication board to support Deaf, hard of hearing, and linguistically diverse children, ensuring everyone can enjoy the playground meaningfully.
This board isn’t just about accessibility. It’s about mental health, belonging, and inclusion. We’ve worked closely with council, community members, and advocates to make this happen, and we’re proud to launch what we hope is the first of many inclusive features across Adelaide.
Our goal? Families shouldn’t ask, “Where can we go?” They should be able to ask, “Where would you like to go?”
Huge thanks to Nat Cook and her team for supporting this initiative. We can’t wait to see what comes next.
